ރާއްޖެއަށް އަންނަ ފަތުރުވެރިން، މާލެއާ ދުރު ރިޒޯޓުތަކަށް ގެންގޮސްދިނުމުގެ މަޤްޞަދުގައި، ޑެންމާކްގެ ލާސް އެރިކް ނީލްސަން 1993 ވަނަ އަހަރު އުފެއްދި މޯލްޑިވިއަން އެއަރޓެކްސީއަކީ، ދުނިޔޭގައި މިވަގުތު އޮތް، ކަނޑަށްޖައްސާ މިފަދަ މަތިންދާބޯޓު އެންމެ ގިނަ ކުންފުންޏެވެ. ފުރަތަމަ ފެށިއިރު އޮތީ، އެންމެ ދެބޯޓެވެ. މިހާރު މި ކުންފުނީގައި 22 ބޯޓު އެބައޮތެވެ.
މި ކުންފުނިން މި ޚިދްމަތްދޭން ފެށުމުން މާލެއާ ދުރު ރިޒޯޓުތަކަށް ފަތުރުވެރިން ގެންގޮސް ގެނެސްދިނުމުގައި ވަރަށްގިނަ ފަސޭހަތަކެއް ފަތުރުވެރިކަމުގެ ޞިނާޢަތަށް ލިބިގެންދިޔައެވެ. މި ކުންފުނިން މަސައްކަތާ ގުޅޭ ތަމްރީނުތައް ދިވެހިންނަށްދީ، ޕައިލެޓުންނާއި އެހެން ވަޒީފާތަކުގައި 250 އަށްވުރެ ގިނަ ދިވެހިން ގެންގުޅެއެވެ.
Maldivian Air Taxi, which was founded in 1993 by Mr. Lars Erik Nielsen to transfer holidaymakers from Male' International Airport to tourist resorts located far away, boasts the largest seaplane fleet operating anywhere in the world. The company began operations with only 2 Twin Otter float-equipped seaplanes. Today, the fleet has expanded to 22.
Maldivian Air Taxi has played an important role in facilitating speedy and convenient return transfer of tourists between the airport and the resorts. Today, Maldivian Air Taxi employs over 250 Maldivians, including trained pilots and co-pilots.
The company today services over 30 resorts located from Noonu Atoll down to Meemu Atoll.
