بســم اللّـه الرّحمـن الرّحيــم
ނިޢުމަތްތަކުގެ ވެރި اللّـه سبحـانـه وتعـالى އަށް ޙަމްދުކޮށް ޝުކުރުކުރަން. މި އުންމަތުގެ ނަބިއްޔާ مُحَمَّـد رســول اللّـه صـلّى الله علـيـه وسـلّم އަށް ޞަލަވާތާއި ސަލާމް ލެއްވުން އެދި ދުޢާކުރަން. އަދި މި ދުޢާގައި އެކަލޭގެފާނުގެ އާލުންނާއި މިތުރު ޞަޙާބީން ޝާމިލު ކުރަން.
އާދެ، މި އުފާވެރި ރަސްމިއްޔާތަށް ވަޑައިގެން ތިއްބެވި އެންމެހައި ލޮބުވެތި ރައްޔިތުންނަށް ވަރަށް އިޚްލާޞްތެރިކަމާއެކީ މަރުޙަބާ ދަންނަވަން. އަދި ހަމަ އެހެންމެ މިތާ މި ހިނގަމުންދާ އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓާ ގުޅިގެން މި އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓްގެ ބައިވެރިން ކަމުގައި މި ތިއްބެވި ސިންގަޕޯރ ޕާޓީއާއި އަދި އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ސަރުކާރަށް، ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއަށް ކަނޑައަޅުއްވާފައި ހުންނަވާ ސިންގަޕޫރު ސަފީރުވެސް ހިތްވަރު ދެއްވުމުގެ ގޮތުން މިތާ އެބަ ހިމެނިވަޑައިގަންނަވާ. މި ހުރިހާ ބޭފުޅުންނަށް ވަރަށް އިޚްލާޞްތެރިކަމާއެކީ މަރުޙަބާ ދަންނަވަން.
އާދެ، ޝައްކެއްވެސްނެތްގޮތުގައި، މިއީ ލިބޭ ވަރަށް އުފާވެރި ފުރްޞަތެއް. މި އެއަރޕޯޓް މިވަނީ އާ އެއަރޕޯޓަކަށް ބަދަލުވެފައި. ބޮޑު އެއަރޕޯޓަކަށް ބަދަލުވެފައި. ތަނަވަސް އެއަރޕޯޓަކަށް ބަދަލުވެފައި. އަދި ހަމައެއާއެކީ މި ރަށަށް، ކޫއްޑޫއަށް އިތުރު ބަނދަރެއް ލިބިގެން ދިޔުމަކީވެސް ފަސިންޖަރުންނަށް ހަމަގައިމުވެސް ވަރަށް ފަސޭހަވެގެންދާނެ ކަމެއް.
އާދެ، ގއ. އަކީ ވަރަށް ޚާއްޞަ ދާއިރާއެއް. ޚާއްޞަކޮށް، ވިލިނގިލި ދާއިރާއަކީ ވަރަށް ޚާއްޞަ ދާއިރާއެއް. އަޅުގަނޑުމެން މީގެކުރީގައި ވިސްނަމުން އައީ ޓުއަރިޒަމާއި މަސްވެރިކަމާ މިއީ މާ ތިމާގެ ނޫނީ މާ ގާތްކޮށް ހަރަކާތްތެރިވެވޭނެ ދެ ހަރަކާތުގެ ގޮތުގައި ގަބޫލުނުކުރެވިދިޔައީ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް، ކޫއްޑޫ ޚާއްޞަވެގެން މިދަނީ އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ކުރީގެ ވިސްނުމާ ޚިލާފަށް މަސްވެރިކަމުގެ ދާއިރާއާއި، ޓޫރިޒަމްގެ ދާއިރާއާއެކީ، މި ދެ ދާއިރާ ކޯހިބިޓް ނޫނީ އެކުއެކީގައި ހިނގާ ދާއިރާއެއްގެ ގޮތުގައި ކުރިއަށް މިދަނީ. މިތާ މިއޮތް ބަނދަރަކީ މަސްވެރިން ބޭނުންކުރާ ބަނދަރަކަށްވާތީއާއެކީ، ވަރަށް ބޮޑަށް ބަނދަރު ތޮއްޖެހިފައި އޮތީމަ، އަޅުގަނޑުގެ އިލްތިމާސަކަށްވީ ފަސިންޖަރުންނަށް ފަސޭހަކޮށްދިނުމަށްޓަކައި އާ ބަނދަރެއް ހެދިގެންދާންވާނެކަމަށް.
ދެން އަޅުގަނޑު ކުރި އިލްތިމާސްތައް މިހާތަނަށް މި ކުންފުނީގެ މެނެޖިންގ ޑިރެކްޓަރ ޖަނާޙު ފުރިހަމަކޮށްދެއްވައިފި. އަދި ހަމައެއާއެކީ އަޅުގަނޑު ދަންނަވާލަންޖެހޭ މިރޭކަންނޭނގެ އަދި އިތުރު އުފާވެރި ޙަފްލާއެއް އޮތީ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް، އަޅުގަނޑުގެ ވާހަކަކޮޅު ކުރިއަށް ގެންދަމުން ދަންނަވާނަން، މި ހުންނަނީ ރޭވިގެން ހިނގާ ބޮޑެތި އިއްތިފާޤުތައް. މިއަދު މިއީ ޖަނާގެ ބާރތްޑޭވެސްމެ. އެހެންވީމާ، ޖަނާގެ އުފަންދުވަހުގެ ހަނދާންތައް އަޅުގަނޑުމެން އާކުރަން. މަރުޙަބާވެސް ދަންނަވަން. އިރާދަކުރެއްވިއްޔާ، މިރޭގެ ރަސްމިއްޔާތުގައިވެސް އަޅުގަނޑު މި ފުރްޞަތުގެ ބޭނުންކުރާނަން. ކުރީގައި އޮތީ މިރޭ ވާހަކަ ދައްކާކަށް ނޫން. އެހެންނަމަވެސް، ނަމާދު ވަގުތު ކައިރިވާތީއާއެކީ އަޅުގަނޑުމެން މި ޙަފްލާއާއި މި އިޙްތިފާލުގެ ކަންތައްތައް ކުރުކޮށްލަން އެބަޖެހޭވެސްމެ.
އެހެންނަމަވެސް، އަޅުގަނޑު ދަންނަވާލަން ބޭނުންވަނީ، މިކަހަލަ އެއަރޕޯޓް ހުޅުވުނީމަ، އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް ފުދިގެންދާ ބޭނުންތަކެއް އެބަހުރޭ. ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ވައިގެ ބަނދަރެއް ހެދުމަކީ މީގެކުރީގައި މާ ފަސޭހަ ކަމަކަށްނުވޭ. އެހެންނަމަވެސް، އިރާދަކުރެއްވިއްޔާ ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގައި ވައިގެ ބަނދަރު ހެދުމަކީ މިއަދު ފަސޭހަކަމަކަށްވެގެން އެބަދޭ. ކޫއްޑޫގެ މި ވައިގެ ބަނދަރުވެސް 1200 މީޓަރުން އިތުރަށް މިއޮތީ 1800 މީޓަރާ ހަމައަށް ބޮޑުވެފައި. އަދި އެއާއެކީ އާ ބަނދަރެއް ލިބިގެންދިޔައީ ފަސިންޖަރުންނަށް. ހަމަ އެއާއެކީ ވަރަށް ހިތްގައިމު، ފެންވަރު ރަނގަޅު ފަސްޓްކްލާސް ބިޒްނަސް ލައުންޖަކާ، މިކަންކަން ހަމަޖެހިގެން މިދަނީ. އަނެއްކާ މި މެނޭޖްމަންޓަކީ ވަރަށް ވަރުގަދައަށް މިކަންކަން ކުރެއްވޭނެ ކަމުގެ ޤާބިލުކަންހުރި މެނޭޖްމަންޓެއް ކަމަށް އަޅުގަނޑަށް ގަބޫލުކުރެވޭ.
ދެން އަޅުގަނޑަށް ޚާއްޞަ އުފަލެއް ލިބިގެންދާ ކަމެއް. ޙަޤީޤަތުގައި އަޅުގަނޑުމެން ގަބޫލުކުރަން، އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ސަރަޙައްދުގައި ސިންގަޕޫރަކީ އެންމެ ނަން މަޝްހޫރު، އެންމެ ބޮޑެތި ވިޔަފާރިތައް، އެންމެ ބޮޑެތި އިންވެސްޓްމަންޓްތަކަށް މަގުފަހިވެފައި އޮންނަ ޤައުމު.

އެހެންނަމަވެސް، އަޅުގަނޑުމެންނަށް މިއަދު ފެނިގެން މިދަނީ ސިންގަޕޫރުގެ ބޮޑެތި އިންވެސްޓަރުންވެސް ސިންގަޕޫރުން ލުއްސާލައިގެން ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ ހިތްގައިމުކަމާއި، ދިވެހިރާއްޖޭގެ މެހްމާންދާރީ ގަބޫލުކުރުމަށްޓަކައި ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއަށް އިންވެސްޓަރުންނަށް އަންނަ ތަން. މިކަމަށްޓަކައި ސިންގަޕޫރުގެ އިންވެސްޓަރުންނަށް އަދި އަޅުގަނޑުމެންގެ ޤައުމަށް އިންވެސްޓް ކުރަން އަންނަ ހުރިހާ ފަރާތްތަކަށް ވަރަށް އިޚްލާޞްތެރިކަމާއެކީ މަރުޙަބާ ދަންނަވައި ޝުކުރު ދަންނަވަން.

އެހެންވީމާ، އަޅުގަނޑު ހަމަ މި ވަޒީފާގައި މަސައްކަތް ކުރައްވާ ހުރިހާ ދިވެހި ޒުވާނުންނަށް، ދިވެހި ކުދިންނަށް ދަންނަވާލަން ބޭނުންވަނީ ވަޒީފާގައި ދެމިތިއްބެވުމަށް އިތުރު މަސައްކަތެއް ކޮށްދެއްވާށޭ. އެއްވެސް ގޮތަކަށް ފުރްޞަތު ނުދެއްވާށޭ، ޖާގަ ނުދެއްވާށޭ މަސައްކަތަށް ފަރުވާކުޑަވެގެން، ނޫނީވިއްޔާ މަސައްކަތް ނުކުރެވިގެން ވަޒީފާގެ ފުރްޞަތު އެހެން ކުއްޖަކަށް ލިބުމުގެ ޖާގަ ނުދެއްވާށޭ. މިއީ ތިޔަ ކުދިންގެ ވަޒީފާ. އެހެންވީމާ، މި ވަޒީފާގައި ތިއްބަވަންވާނެ. އަދި ޚާއްޞަ އުފަލެއް ލިބިގެންދޭ.

And to my good friends, investors let me not confuse you any further. Let me first of all cordially welcome you to the Maldives. Investment opportunities far and wide flung all over the Maldives. Now our investors specially the investors in tourism industries they have refused to remain confined to Malé area. Our islands are far and wide flung apart and therefore, the Island Aviation aircraft is also flying its’ span very wide now. And therefore now its opportunity for investors to fly to remote corners of Maldives, hitherto we never believed that investments of this nature would be possible in this part of Maldives. Largely because of connectivity issue. But today, connectivity issue is no longer a problem for us. And thank you Singaporean party for investing here in Maldives, believing firmly in the investment climate we are providing and also first and foremost most importantly, the security that we guarantee to the investors here in Maldives.
Lots of travel advisories are coming out from UK as well as European countries these are important countries for us for our tourism patronage, but let me convince you that all efforts are being taken by the Government of Maldives to beef up security at the International Airport and also at airports like this one here in Kooddoo. Kooddoo has been extended by another 600 metres, brand new first class and business class lounge, a new harbour and also in addition to all of these, what gives me pleasure most is that you are committed to maintaining 100% Maldivian employment here which is a great achievement and this is precisely the reason why the Maldivian Government – My Government is paying special attention to investments of this nature coming to these parts of Maldives.
Earlier we never believed that this was possible. And today it gives me immense pleasure Mr. Leo and also Ambassador of Singapore. I was talking to my Maldivian colleagues here, my Maldivian friends here, earlier we have taken Singapore as a stereotype model for economic development investment in Asia region. But today it is very heartened to see that Singapore investors have decided to pull out of Singapore and come to other as remote as Maldives, but now they are finding Maldives’ shores to be good and attractive investment opportunities are found here.
My Ministers, Tourism Minister Zameer and Economic Development Minister Saeed, they have been all pushing investors, urging investors to come and invest in Maldives. You have to see you have to know to believe what is here. Believe me, investment opportunities are bountiful here in Maldives, its not only in tourism, tourism clearly is a kick start of all these economic activities but tourism alone will not be the mainstay of our economy presently, it is the mainstay of the economy. We have embarked on a very ambitious international airport expansion project, Changi being the Chief Designer and Advisor for our International Airport. Presently, we have a patronage of around 1.3 million a year, but with the new airport new runway opening on June next year and before the end of next year hopefully, we will have a fully functional brand new International Airport with a new terminal and a new runway. We are hoping that in the years to come, 4 -5 years from now we are hoping that this International Airport is going to cater to a patronage of around 7.5 to 8 million passengers.
Tourism being our mainstay we have also embarked on resort opening. We are hoping that somewhere next year we will be able to open up 30 new resorts with a carrying capacity of new 50,000 more beds. With all of this investment in economic infrastructure, we are planning to increase our GDP per capita. Clearly, over the last 3 – 4 years GDP per capita has risen twofold and we are hoping that we will be among the middle income countries of the world.
Our ambition is going things right with the economic agenda as vigorousness we would like to pursue with Gods’ blessings we would be able to increase our per capita through somewhere close to 12 thousand to 15 thousand. For this I urge investors from Singapore, investors from world over, please find your heart to see Maldives, what Maldives is about, here you are blend in the cuisine of West with the flavors natural of the Maldivian. And therefore I think this combination probably is going to be a potent combination for any guest who is going to stay his time here.
