In a press statement, issued by the President’s Office today, President Dr Mohamed Waheed has reassured his commitment to is to restore peace and order in the country.
The press statement reads as follows:
“This is the time for all citizens to unite and work diligently to uphold the sovereignty of the Constitution and restore the rule of law in the country.
The President’s highest priority now is to restore peace and security for the people.
The President is determined, to form a National Unity Government with a multiparty Cabinet. The President assures the people, that even until a Cabinet is formed, all public services will continue”.
