Madam Ilham Hussain, Spouse of the Vice President, has left for Bangladesh last night, at Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's invitation, to attend a conference on "Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities in Bangladesh and South Asia".
The conference is to be held from 25th July to 28th July in Dhaka, to generate awareness and hold discussions on further aiding autistic children.
The conference was initiated by Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena and will be attended by Indian National Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza and Sri Lankan First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa.
