New Ambassador of Brazil accredited to the Maldives, Pedro Henrique Lopes Borio, has presented his letter of credence to President Mohamed Nasheed today.
Meeting the new High Commissioner, the President congratulated him on his new appointment.
President Nasheed exchanged ideas with High Commissioner Lopes Borio on deep sea fishing developmental projects. The ÷President also noted the support provided by the former Brazilian President Lula Da Silva at the Copenhagen Conference, and his initiative in making the conference a success.
The meeting held at the President’s Office was attended by the Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed, Special Envoy of the President Ibrahim Hussain Zaki, Advisor on Political Affairs Mohamed Shihab and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Naseem.
