His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reinstated, No. 9 Rosemont Avenue, London as the premises of Maldivian Students’ Association-UK (MSA-UK).
The property which had historically housed Maldivian students and served as a hub to support Maldivian students in the UK was in 2019 repurposed for diplomatic use by the High Commission of Maldives in the United Kingdom. However, effective today, the property has been reinstated as a student accommodation and hub registered under the MSA-UK. This decision aims to enhance student welfare and community ties.
The President is currently visiting the United Kingdom. In Leeds this afternoon, he hosted a luncheon for the Maldivian students residing in the UK.
During the luncheon, the President listened to the challenges students face and inquired about their well-being and academic experiences. He conveyed assurances of the Administration’s commitment to facilitate solutions for the challenges raised.
The President makes it a priority to visit and engage with Maldivian student communities residing in countries that he visits.
