His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday visited the e-Estonia Briefing Centre in Tallinn, Republic of Estonia.
President Dr Muizzu was warmly welcomed by Ms Triin Joasaare, Head of e-Estonia Briefing Centre, and Mr Joonas Vänto, Acting Head of the International Services Division and Director of Estonian Investment Agency, Enterprise Estonia.
During the visit, the Maldives delegation was given a presentation on Estonia's digital transformation journey. Additionally, the President and delegation were given a presentation on Estonia’s digital society and e-governance innovations, and Estonia’s success in integrating digital systems such as e-residency, digital ID, e-taxation, and secure data exchange through X-Road systems.
The President is currently on an official visit to Estonia at the invitation of His Excellency Dr Alar Karis, President of the Republic of Estonia. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including representatives from the Maldivian tech community.
