Her Excellency Ms Kristina Kallas, Minister of Education and Research of Estonia, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu today at the Ministry of Education and Research in Estonia.

During the meeting, President Dr Muizzu praised Estonia for its world-class education system and innovative approaches to learning. He expressed interest in drawing inspiration from Estonia’s successes to enhance the Maldives’ education system.

Minister Kallas gave a comprehensive presentation on Estonia’s education system, showcasing its key features and groundbreaking practices. She also addressed the President’s queries and shared valuable insights into Estonia’s educational strategies.

President Muizzu underscored the importance of expanding educational opportunities for Maldivian youth and explored the possibility of scholarships and other forms of support from Estonia for Maldivian students.

The discussions centered on fostering collaboration in the education sector, with both sides identifying opportunities for knowledge sharing, capacity building, and partnerships.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to strengthen ties through education and innovation, laying the foundation for future cooperation.
