Vice President Faisal Naseem has arrived in Molhadhoo island of North Thiladhunmathi Atoll today as the first stop of a two-day trip to Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu atoll. The Vice President was welcomed warmly by the residents upon arrival to the island.
The Vice President officially opened the futsal ground and attended the ceremony to commence construction of the children park in the Island.
Moreover, the Vice President also initiated the harbour construction project of the Island.
Making remarks at the ceremony, the Vice President noted that the highest priority of any government should be to fulfil the needs of its people, and that this administration is committed to providing basic infrastructure and services to all islands regardless of residential population size. The Vice President also highlighted the administration's commitment to maintain peace and stability in the country, and urged all citizen to promote peace and stability for national harmony.
The Vice President also visited Molhadhoo School and met with the management and staff during his stop at the island.Prior to his departure from Molhadhoo Island, Vice President Faisal Naseem met with Councillors representing  Uligamu Island and Thuraakunu Island and discussed issues and future development projects for their respective islands.Vice President Faisal Naseem's next stop will be Dhidhdhoo Island, the atoll capital, where he will meet the Island Council and Atoll Council, and is scheduled to attend the 'Thilauthuru Uththama Aruthaverin' award ceremony later in the evening.
