Nominations for the President's Award for Special Achievement will close on Monday, 31 August 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Nominations must be submitted through the President's Office Form Submission portal.
The Special Awards Committee advises all applicants to ensure that the documents stipulated under the relevant award category are submitted together with the application form. In particular, applicants seeking the award based on qualifications at Levels 7, 8 or 9 of the Maldives National Qualifications Framework must submit a document issued by the awarding institution, or the institution where the programme was completed, confirming that the applicant achieved first place or the highest standing in the programme, along with documentation of the applicant's average marks or Grade Point Average (GPA).
Where the qualification was obtained from an overseas university, applicants must also submit a copy of the certificate bearing the Maldives Qualifications Authority's verification of its qualification level. The Committee further emphasises that all supporting documents must be duly certified as true copies of the originals.
This year, the President's Award for Special Achievement will be conferred under four categories: outstanding achievement in a higher education or training programme; the highest placing or distinction at an international exhibition, competition, or other internationally recognised assessment; notable success through an invention, innovation, or academic research addressing a significant challenge facing the Maldives; and skilled, talented, and hardworking young people who have demonstrated outstanding achievement through innovative and productive work contributing to national development.
