In his current visit to some islands of North Thiladhunmathi Atoll, Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the members of Uligamu Island Council today.

During the meeting, the Council members briefed the Vice President on some of the pressing issues faced in the island and on ongoing development projects, including the need to update the harbor, school and health facility in the island. They also shed light on the issue of soil erosion and discussed ways to develop the island.

The Vice President noted their concerns and indicated that the point of making such visits to the islands is to listen to the people and work closely with the people in bringing the development which is required. He further stated that the government is working at a fast pace in solving different issued faced by people all around the Maldives.
