A delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has paid a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, President Solih expressed his appreciation for the long association between ICRC and the Maldives, and especially highlighted the assistance provided in the recovery from the 2004 tsunami. He also stressed the importance of further enhancing and sustaining the relations between ICRC and Maldives.
During the call, members of the ICRC congratulated President Solih on his assumption of office. Members briefed the President on the future endeavors planned in strengthening their activities in the different sectors of the Maldives. They also highlighted the support being provided at a national level in different countries.
