President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has appointed Dr. Ahmed Abdulla Didi as the new Chief Justice of the Maldives, at a ceremony held at the President’s Office today. He also appointed Uz. Abdulla Didi and Uz. Abdul Ghanee Mohamed to the Supreme Court bench.

The Parliament has approved the 3 Judges nominated by President Yameen, during its session held last evening. 

The 3 Judges took the oath of office before the Supreme Court Judge ‎‎Hon. Uz. Abdulla Areef. Afterwards, President Yameen presented the letter of appointment to the Chief Justice and the newly appointed Supreme Court Judges.
