The President says that he has received full support and cooperation from the staff of the President’s Office

President Nasheed has said that he has received the full support and cooperation from the staff of the President’s Office since his assumption of office. The President made this statement while speaking to the staff of the President’s Office at a function held at the President’s Office this afternoon.

Noting the professionalism displayed by the staff of the President’s Office during the transitional period, the President said that their cooperation had contributed to the smooth transition of powers from one government to another.

Speaking further, the President also called on all the staff of the President’s Office to treat the members of the public with consideration, kindness and respect.

At the function, he also noted the services of President’s Office staff, Mr Abdul Gayoom Hassan, who will be retiring from office soon. Mr Abdul Gayoom Hassan had served at the President’s Office for more than 33 years.
