President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today officially inaugurated the flights of A320 Airbus, of Island Aviation Services. At the function held at Hulhule’ Island Hotel this morning, the President congratulated Chairman Bandhu Ibrahim Saleem, Board Members, Managing Director and all the staff of Island Aviation Services.
In his speech, President Waheed acknowledged the continuous hard work of all involved in the advancement of the aviation industry. The President especially highlighted the work done by former Chairman Abdulla Yamin and Mohamed Umar Manik, and expressed his gratitude to them for their contribution.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President noted that the country needed educated and experienced leaders for its development. He added that the inauguration of A320 flights would strengthen the existing bonds with neighboring countries.
