Members of Mulaku atoll Island Councils have today met with President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
The council members congratulated President Waheed on his assumption of office and conveyed the peoples’ well wishes to the President. They also expressed support for President Waheed’s government.
At the meeting, the council members also shared with the President, the people’s concerns and hopes for development, which they said have been neglected in the past three years.
President Waheed reaffirmed his commitment to restore peace and harmony in the country. He also assured council members that their issues would be looked into, and necessary measures would be taken.
