President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today met with Male’ City Mayor Maizan Ali Maniku.
At the meeting held at the President’s Office this afternoon, the President said that the government is in need of more time to resolve the current situation in the country. The President also noted the dire need to sustain peace and harmony in Male’, for a peaceful city.
Speaking at the meeting, the Mayor said that he will work to restore unity in the city, and to protect the peace and harmony. Referring to the ongoing protests in Male’, Mayor Ali Maniku assured the President of the City Council’s full cooperation in encouraging peaceful conduct.
Further, discussions were also held on the Male’ City Council’s various projects in progress.
