President Mohamed Nasheed has today presented registries for housing plots in Hulhulmale to fifteen recipients, under the Veshi Fahi Malé Programme.
In his speech following the presentation of the land registries, President Mohamed Nasheed said the government was on track in fulfilling its housing pledge.
The Veshi Fahi Malé Programme aims to provide adequate housing for least advantaged families living in Male’ and support decongestion of Malé.
In his speech, the President also noted that the number of GST payers in the country has increased over the past month. He added this increase showed the confidence people have in the government.
