President Mohamed Nasheed has extended the greetings to the people of the Maldives on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
In a message sent on the occasion, the President said conveying Eid greetings to the people gave him a special joy. He also extended his well wishes and greetings of the auspicious occasion to all Maldivian pilgrims in Mecca.
¨Eid-ul-Adha is an occasion to spread compassion and happiness. It is a day to help and care for people in need”, the President’s message said.
He concluded his message praying Almighty Allah to grant blessings and joy on this auspicious occasion.
The President also sent Eid greetings to the Leaders of the Islamic countries and to the Heads of Islamic Organisations. The President has also been receiving greetings from them.
