New Ambassador of Poland accredited to the Maldives, Professor Piotr Klodkowski has presented his letter of credence to President Mohamed Nasheed today.
At the ceremony held at the President’s Office to present the credentials, the President congratulated Ambassador Klodkowski.
Meeting the new Ambassador afterwards, the President said there were many areas where the Maldives and Poland could work amicably for the progress of the peoples of both countries.
In particular, the President and Ambassador Klodkowski discussed the ways in which the Maldives could benefit from Poland’s experience in democracy building.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed, Special Envoy of the President Ibrahim Hussain Zaki, and Advisor on Political Affairs Mohamed Shihab.
