President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on all elected representatives to serve every citizen fairly and sincerely, regardless of political affiliation, upon being elected to office.

The President made the remarks during the second episode of the 'Nation Chat' podcast series, which aired on Public Service Media (PSM) tonight.

The President observed that, following elections, some opposition members who secure elected office engage in actions that obstruct initiatives intended for the benefit of the public. He said that national progress requires moving away from partisan obstruction, adding that meaningful change depends on the sincerity of political actors and a shared commitment to serving the nation.

During the broadcast, the President also responded to allegations raised by the opposition regarding 'Maldives 2.0', one of the Administration’s key development initiatives. He outlined Government policies and strategic measures intended to advance the country’s digital economy, highlighting a broader vision for national development.
