President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reconstituted the Special Cabinet Committee formed in response to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
The Committee, originally formed on 28 February 2026, was reconstituted during a Cabinet meeting held on 15 April 2026, following a Cabinet reshuffle.
The reconstituted Committee comprises the following members:
1. Moosa Zameer – Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises (Committee Chair)
2. Iruthisham Adam – Minister of Foreign Affairs
3. Mohamed Saeed – Minister of Economic Development, Transport and Trade
4. Ahmed Shiyam – Minister of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources
5. Mohamed Ameen – Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation
