Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef attended the final match and closing ceremony of the HD Hyundai Golden Futsal Challenge 2026.
The ceremony was held at the Rehendhi Futsal Ground in Hulhumalé, following tonight's final between HDh. Naivaadhoo and GA. Dhevvadhoo. Prior to kick-off, the Vice President met and shook hands with players from both teams.
HDh. Naivaadhoo claimed the championship title with a decisive 9–3 victory. The Vice President presented the champions with the trophy, medals, and prize money, and crowned the King of the Tournament.
The ceremony also honoured those who contributed to the tournament's success, with trophies presented to standout players and teams.
The Golden Futsal Challenge was launched in 2016 as an open tournament for every inhabited island in the Maldives, with the primary goal of fostering unity through sport.
