First Lady Sajidha Mohamed attended the final match of the CAVA Cup for Women 2025 this evening.
The Maldives women’s team faced Kyrgyzstan in the final, held at the Maldives Centre for Social Education, with Kyrgyzstan securing a 3-1 victory.
Prior to the match, the First Lady met the players and offered words of encouragement.
Earlier, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu also expressed his support for the team in a post on X, encouring their performance ahead of the final. The President stated his hope for the team’s success, noting that the entire nation stood behind them.
Following the match, the First Lady presented medals and trophies to the winners. She also joined the champions for a group photograph.
