President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Sh. Kan’ditheemu Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee, and heads of local institutions to discuss the island’s key development priorities. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Kan’ditheemu Council.
During the meeting, council members expressed their hopes that construction of the island’s roads and harbour will commence soon. They also highlighted the need to expedite the completion of these projects, as well as ongoing work at the health centre and the school’s multipurpose hall. Additionally, council members and representatives from the health centre shared the need for a lab technician, as the facility operates 24 hours a day.
President Dr Muizzu assured participants that the Government would give due consideration to their concerns. He was accompanied by Cabinet ministers and senior officials from State-Owned Enterprises, who also provided updates on ongoing development projects.
