President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has returned to Malé after completing his visit to the inhabited islands of four atolls in the Maldives.

During the trip, the President travelled to all inhabited islands of Felidheatholhu, Mulakatholhu, North Nilandheatholhu, and Kolhumadulu Atoll. He met with Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDCs), institutional heads, and local residents to discuss development priorities and consult on matters concerning the wellbeing of their communities.

The President was accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key Government institutions, who provided updates on development projects in each island.

As part of the visit, the Administration inaugurated new projects and signed agreements across the atolls. These included the launch of ferry services, airport development initiatives to strengthen the national transport system, and the expansion of Bank of Maldives ATM services - now available on every inhabited island across the four atolls.

The President also announced major projects under the Government’s population consolidation policy, together with new housing, education, health, and sports initiatives. In addition, important measures were introduced to further develop the fisheries and agriculture sectors.

Notably, President Dr Muizzu unveiled plans to strengthen the national healthcare infrastructure within the next six months, alongside key reforms in the banking sector designed to boost economic growth and expand financial access for all citizens.

Direct engagement with local communities, through listening to their concerns and addressing their needs, remains a cornerstone of the Administration’s policies
