President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has assured that the Kin’bidhoo–Veymandoo causeway will be constructed as pledged to the residents of Th. Kin’bidhoo.

He made the remarks while addressing Kin’bidhoo residents during his tour of the inhabited islands of Kolhumadulu Atoll.

The President noted that the Government has invited bids to select developers for the project, which will be implemented as part of an integrated tourism initiative. He added that the causeway will bring substantial progress to the atoll and will serve as a key area for citizens relocating under the Government’s population consolidation policy.

President Dr Muizzu further stated that the land-use plan for the housing project on Kin’bidhoo’s reclaimed land will be developed through public consultation to ensure that both Kin’bidhoo and Veymandoo benefit from the causeway.

Concluding his remarks, the President assured residents that educational and sports development projects in Kin’bidhoo will commence within the year. He reiterated his commitment to completing all planned development initiatives for the betterment of the island’s community.
