President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Mulah Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions today to discuss the island’s key development priorities. The meeting took place at the Secretariat of Mulah Island Council.
During the discussions, Council members outlined the island’s most pressing needs. They noted that, given the island’s thriving fisheries sector, the completion and operationalisation of cold storage facilities is of vital importance. They also requested the expedited completion of the road construction project and the ongoing construction of school premises and the youth centre. Additionally, they highlighted the lack of a police vehicle and an ambulance, as well as ongoing issues with the electricity network.
President Dr Muizzu assured the Council that the Government would give due consideration to their concerns and work towards practical solutions. He also provided an update on the progress of ongoing development projects
