President Dr Mohamed Muizzu departed this morning on a four-day trip to the inhabited islands of Baa Atoll.

As part of this presidential tour, the President will visit 13 inhabited islands of the atoll; Kamadhoo, Kudarikilu, Kendhoo, Eydhafushi, Thulhaadhoo, Goidhoo, Fehendhoo, Fulhadhoo, Hithaadhoo, Kihaadhoo, Dhonfan, Dharavandhoo, and Maalhos. During the visits, he will meet with island councils and Women’s Development Committees, engage with residents, and discuss the development needs and priorities of the communities. He will also engage directly with residents to inquire about their wellbeing.

He is accompanied by several Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key Government institutions.

This trip is part of the President's initiative to tour all Maldivian atolls and engage directly with councils at the island, atoll, and city levels.

The President will conclude the trip and return to Malé on Thursday.
