The Special Awards Committee has officially opened nominations for the ‘President's Award for Special Achievement.’

This annual accolade recognises individuals who exemplify exceptional skill and contribute significantly to national progress. Interested candidates can submit their applications until Monday, September 15, 2025, via the designated portal, "Form Hushahelhun," available on the President's Office website: http://apply.presidency.gov.mv.

This year's awards feature four distinct categories. The first honours are awarded to individuals with a Maldives Qualification Authority (MQA) level 10 qualification for published research, as well as those with MQA levels 7 to 9 who have achieved top marks on research projects or dissertations. The second category recognises those who have attained the highest ranks in international competitions or exhibitions.

The third category recognises innovative thinkers who address critical national challenges through academic research. Lastly, the fourth category honours young individuals aged 18 to 35 who showcase exceptional creativity and innovation that drive national development.

Applicants are reminded to follow document submission guidelines closely and ensure their academic certificates are attested by a lawyer accredited by the Bar Council of the Maldives. Winners will be honoured during the Republic Day celebration.
