First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed visited the Singapore Food Agency today as she accompanies His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on the ongoing state visit to Singapore.
The First Lady was received at the agency by Dr Tan Lee Kim, Director-General (Food Administration) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore Food Agency (SFA)
During the visit, the First Lady met with senior officials of the agency and discussed approaches to strengthening food safety and regulatory practices in the Maldives and Singapore.
The Singapore Food Agency is the national body responsible for overseeing food safety and security in Singapore. The agency’s primary focus is boosting local produce through research and technological innovation, and reducing dependency on food imports.
