President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has emphasised the Administration’s commitment to facilitating religious practices during Ramadan, stating that it is both a responsibility and a privilege to close Government offices for the final ten days of Ramadan.

Speaking on 'Rayyithunnaa Eku' - a podcast hosted by the President’s Office - he highlighted key initiatives taken to support the public during the holy month.

He also underscored financial relief measures introduced by the Government last year during Ramadan, which have continued this year, including concessions on utilities and the provision of staple food items to households.

President Dr Muizzu further stressed the importance of celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, adding that strong Government support for such festivities helps instil a love for Islam, particularly among children. In this regard, the Government has introduced several initiatives across the nation to promote a better understanding and practice of Islam, he highlighted.

The President reaffirmed efforts to stabilise market prices and adjust school schedules to better accommodate Ramadan observances.
