President Dr Mohamed Muizzu assured assured that there would be no interference in finalising the flat list announced today. He made the remarks while speaking at a function at Republic Square this evening following the redevelopment and inauguration of the Izzuddin Jetty.

The President highlighted that the list released today has been made public, with the Anti-Corruption Commission of the Maldives (ACC) reviewing issues in the list issued by the previous Government and assigning points according to their criteria. He also noted that individuals who did not meet the criteria and did not receive a flat would know the reasons in the flat list issued today. He affirmed that no applicant had been intentionally removed from the list without reason, and that this Government is committed to serving the people with equality, compassion, and justice.

The President announced that this is the first time a housing list has been released free from interference. He encouraged applicants not included on the list for various reasons to submit complaints through the established procedure within the specified timeframe.

The President stated that once the complaint period has ended, the cases will be reviewed, and individuals who qualify for a flat will be considered. Should any flats remain, they will be allocated based on the points awarded according to the applicant's criteria.

The President also assured that, even if they are not included in the list released today, additional housing projects would be undertaken in the Malé area, providing housing opportunities for the people of Malé City and all citizens aged 18 and above.
