President Mohamed Nasheed has launched the developmental projects planned for Kulhudhuffushi at a function held last night at Afeefudhdheen School.
Speaking at the function, the President said that the government has a vision for Kulhudhuffushi and said that the projects announced today were included in this vision or the Manifesto. The President also expressed high hopes for a more prosperous future for the people of Kulhudhuffushi.
At last night’s function, President Nasheed signed the decree to corporatize ports and airport. Also, licence was issued to MWSC to provide safe drinking water to the people of Kulhudhuffushi.
Presentations on the housing project; privatisation programme,; water, road construction; role of STO in the North Province, Hospital project; establishment of a call centre; and, the decentralisation of administration were also given by the respective authorities.
