President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Muraidhoo Island Council, Women's Development Committee (WDC), and heads of institutions to discuss the island's developmental needs. The meeting was held at Muraidhoo School.

During the meeting, the Council highlighted several concerns, including coastal erosion and issues with the channel and outer harbour. They also raised concerns about the development needs of the island's school and health centre, the poor road conditions, and electricity challenges, while emphasising the need to establish a futsal ground for the community.

The President, through the Ministers accompanying him, provided updates on the issues raised by the Council. He instructed the Council, School, and Ministry of Education to collaboratively draft a development plan that prioritises the island's educational needs, while also calling for efforts to address the health centre's requirements.
