President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the R. Innamaadhoo Island Council, Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of institutions on Wednesday to deliberate on the developmental needs and aspirations of the residential community. The meeting was held at the Innamaadhoo School.
During the meeting, the Council shared the most urgent community needs and challenges. They requested the Government to expedite the completion of the harbour development project and shore protection efforts. They also highlighted the need to resolve space constraints at the school and the health centre. Council members emphasised the necessity of addressing issues with the existing sewerage network connections, developing the roads, and finding a permanent solution to the island’s water network issues.
Speaking at the meeting, the President assured the council that he would fulfil his pledges. He also provided additional information about the developmental plans for Innamaadhoo through his accompanying delegation of Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials.
