His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu attended an official dinner hosted in his honour by His Excellency Dr Alar Karis, President of Estonia, at the Knighthood House.

Upon arrival, President Dr Muizzu was warmly received by President Dr Karis. Prior to the dinner, both leaders delivered brief remarks, highlighting the significance of the visit and expressing hope for stronger cooperation between their nations in the future.

In his remarks during the dinner, President Dr Muizzu described his visit as a historic milestone, marking the first time a Maldivian Head of State had visited Estonia. He emphasised that the visit symbolized the shared commitment to fostering closer ties between the two countries through mutual understanding and collaboration.

The President commended President Dr Karis’s visionary leadership and highlighted Estonia’s remarkable achievements in digital transformation and innovation, describing them as a source of inspiration. He noted that Estonia serves as a global example of how technology can empower societies and expressed his eagerness to learn from Estonia’s expertise in this area.

Concluding his remarks, President Dr Muizzu expressed optimism about the future of Maldives-Estonia relations. He stated that both nations stood on the brink of a new chapter in their partnership, grounded in mutual respect, shared values, and a shared aspiration for a more sustainable and prosperous future.
