President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Dhihdhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) to discuss the island's key development needs. The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Dhan'gethi Council in South Ari Atoll.
During this meeting, Council members shared with the President the concerns of the island's residents and their development needs. The Council highlighted residents' concerns regarding the implementation of the harbour project and the channel breakwater project, as well as the pressing issue of coastal erosion.
Additionally, the Council provided detailed feedback on residents' preferences regarding ongoing projects and raised concerns about the state of education on the island.
The President assured the Council that he would thoroughly review the issues raised and work towards finding sustainable solutions to these matters.
The Cabinet Ministers in attendance also provided comprehensive updates on the development projects currently underway in Dhihdhoo.
