President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with members of the Himmafushi Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) to discuss key issues related to the island's development. The meeting took place on Monday evening at the Himmafushi Council Secretariat.
During the discussion, Council members conveyed the concerns of the island's residents and highlighted critical development priorities. They emphasised the urgent need to expand FSM services and to upgrade the island's educational facilities. The Council also noted that, as the island provides many essential services, it is vital for the state to allocate resources to enhance these services further.
Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President provided updates on ongoing development projects in Himmafushi.
The President assured the Council that the issues raised would be addressed promptly, with particular focus on improving education and FSM services.
