His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has sent a message of condolence to the Interim President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Her Excellency Delcy Eloína Rodríguez Gómez, following the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela.
In his message, the President expressed profound sorrow upon learning of the earthquakes, which resulted in the tragic loss of lives, injuries to many, and extensive damage to homes and infrastructure.
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Maldives, President Dr Muizzu extended sincere condolences to the Interim President, the Government, and the people of Venezuela. He further conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the families of those who lost their loved ones and offered prayers for strength and patience during this deeply sorrowful time.
Concluding his message, the President expressed sincere wishes for the swift recovery of those who were injured and for the success of the ongoing recovery efforts.
