President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has met with members of the Thulusdhoo Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) to discuss the key issues concerning the island's development.

The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Huraa Council in Malé Atoll.

During the meeting, the Council members conveyed the concerns of the island's residents and highlighted critical development needs. They called for the expedited construction of the hospital’s foundation and road development, as well as the establishment of facilities to support youth sports activities and the allocation of land for such initiatives. Additionally, they requested the introduction of a waste management system on the island.

Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President provided updates on ongoing development projects in Thulusdhoo.

The Thulusdhoo Women's Development Committee (WDC) also expressed their concerns during the meeting.

The President assured the Council that efforts would be made to address the issues raised at the earliest.
