President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the K. Kaashidhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) and has reassured prioritising the agriculture sector. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Gaafaru Council, Male' Atoll.

During the meeting, Council members shared the concerns of the island's residents and discussed the need for its development. They explained the current condition of the harbour and highlighted the challenges it presents to the community.

Additionally, the members expressed worries about the health sector and emphasised the importance of addressing these issues. Council members expressed their desire to promote tourism on the island and implement the initiative. Furthermore, they inquired about the Government's efforts to support agriculture in Kaashidhoo.

Kaashidhoo Women's Development Committee (WDC) also inquired about the structure of the WDC in the upcoming term during the meeting today.

Responding to the inquiries and concerns raised, President Dr Muizzu outlined his plans for developing the agriculture sector. He also discussed the steps to enhance collaboration among various Government departments. The President provided details on the Government's efforts to empower the WDC.
