President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Maalhos Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) members to discuss key development initiatives for the island. The meeting was held this evening at the Secretariat of Maalhos Island Council.

During the meeting, members of the Maalhos Island Council expressed their concerns regarding the challenges faced in developing local tourism, highlighting areas where Government assistance is required. They also emphasised the need for the construction of a multipurpose hall for the island school and facilities for the youth to play football. Council members also provided details of other areas requiring developmental assistance to the President.

Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President shared the latest updates on projects planned for the island’s development.

Speaking at the meeting, President Dr Muizzu committed to addressing the concerns raised by the Council, particularly noting that he would expedite the school development project.
