President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Himandhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) to discuss the community's most pressing needs. The meeting was held at the Mathiveri Island Council Secretariat in North Ari Atoll today.
During the meeting, councillors highlighted challenges arising from issues with the harbour entrance. They also expressed interest in developing the sports sector and protecting erosion-prone areas on the island. Additionally, the council emphasised the issues of land constraints and cramped conditions in the school. In response to these concerns, the President assured them that he would work towards swift solutions.
Cabinet ministers accompanying the President shared details of planned Government projects for Himandhoo's development and updated the council on current efforts regarding issues raised.
At the meeting, the WDC shared details of a pipeline business venture and expressed gratitude to State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) for their continued support.
