The official ceremony to mark Maldives’ Conversion to Islam will be held on Saturday morning. The event will occur at 0900 am in Dharubaaruge’; Male’ City.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu will play a pivotal role in the ceremony. He will deliver his address and present medals, prizes and certificates to the Hafizs who have obtained the official Hafiz certifications. The President will personally award medals to 28 Hafizs at the function.
The 2nd of Rabi'ul Aakhir marks the day Maldives embraced Islam, and is celebrated annually.
