President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated the Junior Maldivian boys' and girls' athletic teams for securing bronze medals in the 4x100 meters relay at the fourth South Asian Junior Athletics Championship and bringing glory to the nation.
In his post on social media platform 'X', the President expressed pride in the talent and courage of the Maldives Athletic Junior team's achievement. The fourth South Asian Junior Athletics Championship was held from 11 to 13 September 2024 in Chennai, India.
The Junior Maldivian boys' and girls' athletes secured bronze medals in the 4x100 meters relay at the championship and set a new Maldivian record in the category.
This year, 16 athletes from the Maldives, eight boys and eight girls, participated in the championship.
