President Dr Mohamed Muizzu stated that a strong resolve, self-confidence, and the ability to establish goals are essential to success. He made these remarks while speaking at the Special Assembly held to mark the 45th Anniversary of the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) this morning.

During the assembly at the CHSE school building in Hulhumalé, the President stressed the importance of seizing the exceptional opportunity for learning at the higher secondary level, emphasising that it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He urged the students to make the best use of their time and resources, underscoring the significance of higher secondary level education in shaping one's future and achieving personal goals.

The President began his speech in the assembly by reminiscing about his time studying at CHSC (then SEC) 30 years ago, from 1995 to 1997.

The President emphasised that many students are faced with significant challenges in pursuing higher education despite their unrelenting efforts. The President assured that the Administration is committed to addressing these challenges. In addition, he promised to provide more opportunities for students who are completing their secondary education and entering the workforce, including housing and employment options.

Speaking at the assembly, the President stressed that every student needs to have a sense of nationalism. He further urged all students to prioritise national duty and consider their contribution to the country.

Concluding his remarks, the President encouraged students to persevere until they achieve their objectives, maintaining hope and faith in their ability to succeed.
