Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has called upon all citizens to take pride in utilizing their knowledge and skills to serve the nation as a sworn national duty. The Vice President made this appeal while speaking as the chief guest at the second session of the Islamic University of Maldives' Convocation Ceremony 2024.
In his speech, the Vice President emphasised the high priority that President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's Administration places on the education sector. He added that one of the administration's goals is to assess and address the challenges faced by higher education students.
Speaking further, the Vice President urged the graduating students to prioritise national interests and communal harmony above all else. He also highlighted the importance of continuing academic research even after graduation.
During the ceremony, the Vice President presented special awards and certifications to some of the graduating students.
