President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the Laamu Atoll Council members to discuss the most crucial development needs of the atoll. The meeting took place this morning at the L. Fonadhoo Social Centre.
During the meeting, Council members discussed ways to improve the quality of health services, transportation services, and the education system in the atoll. The Council also briefed the President on the issues fishermen encounter when weighing their catch and their plans to advance atoll tourism. In addition, they deliberated on strategies to tackle various problems in the atoll’s islands.
In response, the President assured the Atoll Council that he would address the concerns raised during the meeting. Through the Ministers present, he relayed the latest updates on the key issues raised by the Council.
