President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met with the V. Keyodhoo Island Council and the Women's Development Committee (WDC) and discussed the most important developmental plans for the island. The meeting was held at the Secretariat of the Keyodhoo Council, Felidhe Atoll.
During the meeting, Council Members highlighted the pressing need for an effective waste disposal system as a major challenge faced by the island. They also drew attention to insufficient space at the school and the Keyodhoo Council Office. The Council discussed issues related to land shortage, limited port space, housing options, elevating the standard of public healthcare, and transportation challenges. Additionally, the Council suggested creating a dedicated fishing buoy for reef fishing and providing opportunities for youth to invest in the tourism sector.
During the meeting, the President affirmed that the Administration would address the concerns raised by the Council. He provided the latest updates on the issues raised by the Council through the Cabinet Ministers and senior Government officials present.
